Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table settings.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with the preparation of food stations and buffet setups.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of service areas during events.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, providing excellent guest services.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of meals.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and potential allergens, to assist guests effectively.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of guests.
- Assist in the breakdown and cleanup of banquet areas post-event.
Skills
- Strong guest relations skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service.
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in hotels or restaurants, is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining a safe dining environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with guests and team members.
- Bartending experience is a plus for serving beverages at events.
