Job Title: Golf Course Grounds Crew Member

Job Summary:

The Golf Course Grounds Crew Member works under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent to maintain the overall appearance and playability of the golf course. This position involves performing a variety of landscaping and maintenance tasks to ensure the course is in top condition for golfers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Turf Maintenance: Mow fairways, greens, roughs, and tee boxes using specialized equipment while ensuring a consistent turf quality.
• Irrigation & Drainage: Assist with operating, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution and drainage.
• Landscaping & Grounds Care: Trim trees, prune shrubs, plant flowers, and remove debris to maintain a visually appealing and safe course.
• Bunker & Hazard Maintenance: Rake and repair sand traps, water hazards, and other course features to maintain optimal playing conditions.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Safely operate and maintain mowers, blowers, trimmers, aerators, and other landscaping tools, reporting any mechanical issues.
• Pest & Weed Control: Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as directed, following safety guidelines to promote healthy turf conditions.
• Course Setup: Assist in setting up tee markers, hole locations, and other course elements for daily play and tournaments.
• Winter Maintenance: Perform snow removal, cover greens, and maintain course features during the offseason, if applicable.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or golf course maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, and landscaping techniques is a plus.
• Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards for course appearance.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Team-oriented role with potential for independent tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
