We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology team. We are a team of enterprise technology professionals who oversee the automation, cloud infrastructure, and AI-assisted operations that power the finance and monetization systems behind Crunchyroll. You will report to the VP, Enterprise Technology. We are considering applicants for our Dallas location.

About You

- You have 10 years experience across computer science or information technology job roles.
- You have experience developing and leading the highest priority projects, delivering on customer satisfaction while also meeting business expectations.
- You have 6 years experience building scalable, serverless solutions in GCP or AWS.
- You have experience in Python and familiarity with other languages like JavaScript.
- You enjoy working with engineering teams on easing delivery blockers, listening to issues faced within teams, and providing unbiased, business-focused solutions.
- You are comfortable leading and maintaining relationships with vendors and partners.
- You develop and expand your team through interviewing and coaching activities.
- You code and build quality, scalable software that solves the toughest problems while still being user-friendly.
- Your documentation sets the standard for all engineers in the organization.
- You know how to navigate difficult subjects and resolve contentious issues.
- You advocate for creating new software only when it is necessary, and you can determine when to build a solution versus when to use off-the-shelf components.
- You have experience building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure.
- You excel at investigating critical business processes while delegating work to individuals and communicating solutions to partners.
- You are certain in the face of uncertainty, able to guide teams to success by examining risks and providing unique solutions.
- You have experience working at a streaming media company (a plus).
- You have experience working with integration platforms like Mulesoft (a plus).
