Duration: 6-month contract
Per diem available.
We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Technician to support the commissioning phase of a greenfield manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the installation, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems to ensure they are fully operational and meet performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform final walkdowns and verify installation of instrumentation systems.
- Calibrate and test instrumentation such as transmitters, control valves, and safety systems.
- Conduct loop checks and verify integration with control systems.
- Assist in Cause & Effect (C&E) testing and troubleshooting during commissioning.
- Document commissioning activities and resolve instrumentation-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification in instrumentation, electrical, or control systems.
- Proven experience with commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting in manufacturing settings.
- Strong knowledge of process control instrumentation, PLCs, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Experience with large-scale manufacturing or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and SCADA systems.
