Duration: 6-month contract

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to support the commissioning phase of a greenfield manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper installation, inspection, testing, and start-up of mechanical systems and equipment before full operational handover. The ideal candidate will have experience in equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure a smooth transition from construction to full-scale production.
Responsibilities:
- Define subsystems and identify clear boundaries.
- Participate in final walkdowns to verify system readiness.
- Assist in the acceptance or rejection of subsystems and partial subsystems.
- Support initial equipment energization and first-time power-up.
- Conduct motor run-ins and ensure proper mechanical operation.
- Collaborate in logic testing and Cause & Effect (C&E) checks during commissioning.
- Complete necessary documentation, including B and C sheets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in mechanical commissioning, start-up, or maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and commissioning documents.
- Proficiency in using mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision instruments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a high-paced environment.
- Familiarity with commissioning procedures, documentation, and best practices.
