🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings and documentation for permitting, estimating, and construction.
- Design and develop electrical systems including one-line diagrams, load calculations, grounding, lighting, cable schedules, and conduit layouts.
- Perform and review electrical system studies such as short circuit, arc flash, and protective coordination.
- Collaborate with utilities, suppliers, and vendors to coordinate electrical design requirements.
- Develop protection system settings, including overcurrent devices and power relays.
- Support system commissioning and start-up activities, including field verification.
- Participate in hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies and design reviews.
- Address contractor RFIs and support construction teams as needed.
- Assist field operations with troubleshooting, safety systems, and system optimization.
- Interpret and apply relevant electrical codes, fire codes, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, UL, ISA).
- Generate specifications, technical documentation, and reports.
- Identify opportunities for quality and process improvement across engineering workflows.
- Travel up to 20% as required for project support.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in electrical power system design within one or more of the following industries: renewable energy, gas processing, chemical, power generation, waste management, or air quality control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure within 12 months of hire.
- Proficiency in NEC and electrical safety standards.
- Strong skills in system protection studies (short circuit, coordination, grounding).
- Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to program and test electrical equipment and systems.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Proficiency in SKM Power Tools or similar electrical analysis software.
- Experience with medium-voltage systems and generator facility design.
- Knowledge of NETA testing protocols.

Salary : $145,000 - $170,000
