Ellaway Blues Consulting is currently partnering with a well-established and rapidly expanding commercial general contractor in the DFW area to find a Senior Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to lead major ground-up projects all within the local market, with no travel required.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership position, enjoys managing large teams and complex builds, and is ready to take on the next chapter in their construction management career.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor.
- Successful track record managing individual projects valued at $25 million or more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Promote and enforce safety policies across all jobsite activities
- Manage and coordinate the review and approval of submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings
- Prepare schedules of values and collaborate with owners/architects on billing approvals
- Partner with Superintendents to ensure compliance with contract requirements and project milestones
- Oversee project-specific quality control plans and procedures
- Manage project budgets, including cost controls and change order processes
- Track and report on project progress through required logs and documentation
- Lead project meetings and walkthroughs with internal teams and stakeholders
- Supervise and mentor staff, including performance feedback and training
- Maintain a consistent presence at job sites to support field operations
