Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to accurately document patient encounters and assist in the smooth flow of medical office operations. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in gaining valuable experience in the medical field.
Responsibilities:
- Accompany healthcare professionals during patient visits and accurately transcribe medical documentation in real-time
- Record patient history, physical examination findings, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans
- Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient information
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and complete documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficient typing skills with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus
