Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary station while cooking.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
- Answer, report, and follow instructions from the executive or sous chef.
- Clean up station and handle leftover food.
- Stock inventory appropriately.
- Ensure timely and high-quality food preparation.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven cooking experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook.
- Excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with industry best practices.
