Deli/Cashier Associate

Ellen’s Country Store in Lancaster, Virginia is looking for a responsible and friendly Store Associates
Job Description: Responsible for supporting all aspects of the store's activities to include both deli and grill food preparation, cashiering, stocking and cleaning.
The position requires the ability to handle cash, credit and EBT sales transactions using a point of sale system, general cleaning, stocking and organizing of stock items.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 or older
- Organization and efficiency of resources, inventory and supplies
- Ability to safely operate deli equipment, grill and fryers
- Attention to detail and compliance with food preparation weights
- Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work with a team
- Must have reliable transportation and be timely for scheduled shifts.
- VA Food Service Certification required
- No criminal history (Background Check Required)
Experience: Prior experience in a convenience, food service or other industry that demonstrates responsible and reliable employment.
Location and Hours: This position is located in Lancaster, VA. Hours may include a mix of both day and evenings (Store hours are 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
