Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology to assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, patient care, and the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality images are obtained for diagnostic purposes.
- Utilize aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss findings and provide insights based on sonographic images.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, imaging results, and any relevant medical history.
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology related to sonography, diagnostic radiology, and physiology.
- Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques, particularly in areas such as Ob/Gyn.
Skills
- Proficient in sonography techniques and medical imaging practices.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to diagnostics and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of physiology relevant to ultrasound examinations.
- Ability to apply aseptic technique in clinical settings.
- Familiarity with diagnostic radiology principles.
- Experience or knowledge in Ob/Gyn ultrasound procedures is a plus.
Preferred
- Five years of post-graduation experience.
- Able to work independently.
- Live within 45 minute drive to facility.
