Compensation: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and treat clients with eating disorders, including but not limited to anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family-Based Treatment (FBT), and other relevant therapeutic approaches.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing the emotional, psychological, and behavioral aspects of eating disorders.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including dietitians, medical professionals, and psychiatric providers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including diagnostic assessments, progress notes, treatment reviews, and case summaries.
- Offer psychoeducation to clients and families regarding eating disorders, body image, nutrition, and the recovery process to enhance understanding and promote healing.
- Participate in clinical team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to foster continuous professional growth and improve client outcomes.
- Support clients in their recovery journey, helping them develop healthier relationships with food and their bodies while fostering emotional resilience and coping skills.
- This role involves both in-person and telehealth services, allowing for a hybrid work schedule that accommodates both client needs and clinician flexibility.
- Master's degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work) from an accredited institution.
- Clinical licensure as an LCPC or LCSW in the state of Maryland.
- Specialized training and experience in the treatment of eating disorders, with a strong understanding of the medical, psychological, and behavioral components of these conditions.
- Familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches for eating disorders, such as CBT, DBT, and FBT.
- Ability to work collaboratively with medical professionals, dietitians, and other care providers as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Proficient in completing diagnostic assessments, creating treatment plans, and maintaining detailed clinical documentation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to balance a moderate caseload and meet the needs of clients and families.
