Mental Health Therapist Responsibilities include:
- Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create, implement, and maintain treatment plans and complete ongoing documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in the community of St Peters.
- Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay clients.
- Participate in Clinic group meetings and case load discussions.
- Maintain a case load of minimum 25 clients per week.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
- Fully licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) valid in the state of Missouri.
- Required experience with completing DAs, treatment plans and clinical case notes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients.
- Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner.
- Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base.
- Proficient in the use of typical office technology (computers, e-mail, etc.) and Electronic Health Record systems.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Preferred experience with adults for parenting, grief, trauma and substance use.
- Preferred experience with EMDR and DBT.
- Preferred experience in Family- Marital counseling.
- Contracted with major insurance panels.
