The Community Liaison plays a critical role in connecting the clinic with the community by promoting mental health services, building partnerships, and increasing awareness of behavioral health support. This position is responsible for outreach, education, and relationship development with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other referral sources to expand the clinic’s visibility and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with local schools, hospitals, nonprofits, and community leaders to promote clinic services.
- Represent the clinic at community events, health fairs, and networking meetings.
- Coordinate educational presentations and workshops on mental health awareness and wellness.
- Support referral development and track community outreach efforts and impact.
- Identify opportunities for new partnerships and collaborations that align with the clinic’s mission.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth intake of referred clients.
- Collect community feedback and relay to leadership to improve services and outreach strategy.
- Assist in marketing efforts including distributing brochures, maintaining social media updates, and contributing to community newsletters.
- Develop and implement strategic outreach initiatives to increase patient engagement and clinic utilization
- Assist referred individuals with scheduling appointments and navigating the intake process.
- Conduct initial screenings to identify mental health needs and ensure appropriate referrals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in outreach, community engagement, marketing, or healthcare services.
- Passion for mental health advocacy and education.
- Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple relationships and projects.
- Knowledge of local mental health resources and healthcare systems.
- Familiarity with local community resources and culturally competent outreach practices.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, French, etc.)
- Prior experience working in a behavioral health or healthcare setting
