What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credentialing Coordinator position at Ellie Mental Health?
The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for accurately completing clinician and group payer enrollment applications, revalidations, and conducting payer research for our Minnesota clinics. This role ensures that all providers' qualifications and credentials are up-to-date, facilitating their approval as in-network providers with insurance companies. With upcoming Minnesota clinical expansion, we anticipate this role will take on credentialing special projects. This is a FT position, and we are able to hire candidates in the following states : AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, NB, NC, ND, OH, PA, TX, VA, and WA.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Submit credentialing applications for all new and existing clinical staff, including psychotherapists, psychologists, and medication management providers, through platforms such as CAQH, PECOS, and MCC.
- Maintain up-to-date provider information and submit re-credentialing requests promptly.
- Responsible for managing compliance with Minnesota Statute 604.202 for all new clinician staff.
- Notify insurance companies of any demographic changes for individual providers or group locations, including additions, updates, or terminations.
- Identify and report any potential issues or concerns with provider credentials.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all credentialing activities and documentation.
- Create and maintain credentialing files, consistent with policies and procedures.
- Research payer credentialing requirements and stay current with requirements.
- Investigate and solve any issues that may arise during the credentialing process.
- Manage the tracking of expiration dates for applicable clinical licenses and insurance policies. Communicate with Compliance if licenses and / or insurance policies are not renewed.
- Provide excellent customer service to providers and internal teams, addressing any questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure providers' credentialing status is communicated promptly and accurately to the Client Access Team via the Ellie Match tool.
- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve and streamline the credentialing & licensing review process.
- Assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures related to credentialing and clinician licensing tracking.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
- Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, providing logistical support, including booking hotel reservations for Clinic Directors, to facilitate Minnesota Clinical Operations events held at corporate offices.
