">Job Summary
">We are seeking an experienced Patient-Focused Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
">Responsibilities

- Diagnose and treat various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse disorders. ">
- Conduct complete history and physical assessments, as well as follow-up appointments. ">
- Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes. ">
- Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring their effectiveness and potential side effects. ">
- Provide education to patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, coping mechanisms, and resources for additional support. ">
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication changes in compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards. ">
- Offer immediate support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises, including suicidal ideation, violent tendencies, or severe distress. ">
- Develop long-term care plans for ongoing care beyond initial treatment, including relapse prevention strategies, lifestyle changes, and long-term medication management. ">
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A medical degree (MD or DO) and board certification in Psychiatry. ">
- In-depth knowledge of the DSM-5 and its application in diagnosing mental health conditions. ">
- Understanding of psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, eating disorders, and other mood or psychotic disorders. ">
- Knowledge of both pharmacological treatments and psychotherapeutic techniques. ">
- Strong diagnostic and assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate complex psychiatric conditions and provide accurate diagnoses. ">
- The ability to provide emotional support and understanding, especially for patients facing challenging mental health conditions. ">
- Exhibit good judgement, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality. ">
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals. ">
- Strong working proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Calendar, Teams Chat, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., and electronic health records (EHR) systems. ">
- Maintains strict confidentiality handling client information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and Ellie policies. ">
- Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture. ">
