SUMMARY:
The Director of Marketing is a “hands-on” strategic leader for Elligo Health Research and plays a crucial role in driving growth and revenue for the company. This role is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, executing marketing tactics, managing budgets, and overseeing brand development. Marketing primarily focuses on the revenue of the company and working very closely with sales to ensure the success of campaigns, materials and branding. This role is recognized as being an expert in Elligo’s business lines and clients, deeply understanding the features and capabilities of the company’s offerings. This position requires expertise in the markets in which Elligo competes, including competitive positioning. This position partners closely with leadership in product management, sales, and services to develop clear, compelling, and differentiated value propositions and messaging. This role actively participates in campaign planning to ensure that messaging is effectively incorporated into the Company’s marketing campaigns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Spearhead the execution of Elligo’s marketing strategy by working closely with internal teams, managers, clients, content providers, and vendor partners to create effective plans focused on growing the audience for our business initiatives.
- Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plans and strategy to drive revenue and customer interest.
- Hands on execution of critical aspects of marketing plans and strategy.
- Track metrics and analyze data from marketing efforts. Understand key performance metrics and tracking tools for market research, forecasts, competitor analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends, and translate results into actionable insights to improve client experiences, increase the return on investment (ROI) of marketing efforts, and craft future marketing strategies.
- Present and articulate marketing data and analytics to top leadership and board members.
- Conduct meetings on a regular basis with business development team to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and develop solutions.
- Manage the conferences and represent the company at conventions, conferences, and industry trade shows. Prepare engaging displays and collateral as needed and provide post-event reports and analysis.
- Gather market intelligence, competitive intelligence, competitive news, and other market indicators. Share essential information throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with business team to uncover insights for developing marketing and branding strategies for existing and new business lines.
- Serve as primary internal strategy consultant for new business opportunities.
- Participate in annual budget creation and manage budget forecasts, expenditures, variances for projects or activities related to assigned business lines
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong relationship skills and the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Successful track record in a senior marketing role and campaign creation.
- Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices including digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations.
- Strong consensus building skills and the ability to find common ground or mutual agreement across complex topics between stakeholder groups - often involving compromise, negotiation, and similar tactics
- Proven ability to collaborate with functional groups and different levels of employees throughout an organization to achieve business results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or public relations or equivalent work experience is required. MBA is preferred.
- 7 or more years of collective experience within patient recruitment and marketing for healthcare/clinical research.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing and mentoring a marketing team.
- Experience in budget planning and management, performance measurement and analysis, and ROI optimization preferred.
