The qualified candidate will have:
- Support the Office of Information Technology (OIT) in overseeing, managing, and executing cloud services and platforms that meet the infrastructure, applications, data, and various business requirements of FDOT
- Design, upgrade, administer, test, and modify the virtual desktop infrastructure environment
- Assist with ongoing modernization and migration initiatives for applications, data, and infrastructure
- Oversee and manage Microsoft 365 environments
- Oversee and manage additional Microsoft platforms and/or environments
- Oversee and manage identity management platforms
- Develop and maintain relationships within a matrixed environment
- Propose and assist in the development and hosting of complex application solutions
- Understand, implement, and manage Microsoft Azure and/or other cloud services
- Understand, implement, and manage the Microsoft Power Platform
- Identify opportunities to refactor solutions for improved performance, cost-efficiency, and effectiveness
- Enhance FDOT's infrastructure, application, and system monitoring solutions to ensure high system uptime
- Evaluate, advise, and design strategies based on risks, costs, benefits, and their impact on enterprise business processes and objectives
- Automate processes wherever feasible
- Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, Git repositories, and CI/CD pipelines
- Oversee and configure organizational settings within Azure DevOps
- Troubleshoot issues raised by developers and other architects
- Share insights with colleagues about new technologies, enterprise-wide challenges, and improvements made to enhance the FDOT mission
The qualified candidate will have:
- U.S. Citizenship (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline; alternatively, 4 years of professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of solid professional experience as a Microsoft Azure cloud systems architect (Required)
- 5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience in information systems engineering or a similar field (Required)
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture (Required)
- 2 to 3 years of experience with additional cloud service providers, like AWS or GCP
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in supporting middleware technologies, including API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch job services
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in administering Microsoft software
