What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elliot Health Systems - Sleep Technologist - Sleep Lab - Full Time position at Elliot Hospital?

Shifts are 7pm to 7am Wednesday Thursday and Friday Full Time 36 Hours a week.
Who We Are
Elliot Sleep Lab is located at the Homewood Suites Hotel in Manchester, NH. We have a secure wing with controlled access for patients and staff. It is conveniently located off 293 and provides a very comfortable atmosphere for both patients and staff. We find our patients are much happier and more satisfied with our testing process being in a relaxed environment.
We have 4 board certified Sleep Physicians and specialize in both pediatric and adult sleep testing. We provide start to finish long term care for our sleep patients, which includes, initial consultation, home sleep testing, in-lab sleep testing, mask fittings, CPAP clinics, remote patient monitoring, yearly follow up. We also do testing for other organizations in the community that don’t have their own sleep lab.
What You’ll Do
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of one (1) year of sleep lab experience preferred.
Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.
Plus one of the two options below (Registered OR Unregistered qualifications):
Unregistered Sleep Tech Requirements
Must have completed the A-Step Online Self Study modules -OR- must be enrolled in/or completed training in polysomnography in an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) with a polysomnography option.
Registered Sleep Tech Requirements
Have passed BRPT registry exam by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, CRT or RRT and hold a current RPSGT Certification.

What You’ll Do
- Performs sleep studies as per order of physicians.
- Scores sleep stages, sleep apnea, hypopnea, nocturnal myoclonus and recognizes certain EEG and EKG abnormalities and artifacts.
- Applies and adjusts PAP according to procedure manual.
- Responds appropriately to medical emergencies that may arise during sleep studies.
- Calibrates and maintains all equipment necessary for sleep monitoring.
- Develops and continues to improve communication with all physicians involved in ordering or interpreting tests.
- Interviews patient and documents pertinent data for sleep study report.
- Maintains accurate record of sleep studies and results according to AASM standards.
