What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Designer position at Elliott Company?
Overview & Responsibilities
- Complete automation efforts as assigned, including programming for all product lines.
- Includes both models and drawings to completion.
- Complete checklists and instructions for production design team to follow when automation is used.
- Update and / or revise automation design based on latest Engineering and Manufacturing standards.
- All automation efforts / tasks will be assigned by the Engineering Standards Supervisor with input and needs of all product line Supervisors and be prioritized by the Drafting Manager.
- Provide monthly updates on automation progress to Management on assigned tasks.
- Attend automation meetings and collaborate with other departments as needed to complete automation tasks.
- Lead Designer on simple and complex model & drawing automation tasks.
- Communicate with Product Engineering and Manufacturing to define design standards.
- Implement cost saving designs.
- Design and implement safety considerations on all product lines and components.
- Standardize designs where possible with input from Product Engineering and Manufacturing.
To include but not limited to GD&T, tolerancing and dimensioning schemes.
