Nature of the Job
This is a supervisory role that requires direct and supervision of day-to-day activities of the Expediter and Purchasing. The candidate will expediting those involved in production, vendors, and subcontractors in order to meet the deliveries. They will also prepare and maintain master schedule and project schedules.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with five years' experience in production control or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years' experience in a supervisory role is preferred. Self-motivated individuals with the ability to handle difficult situations and demanding deadlines are required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Update the Master Schedule and Shop/Machine loading plans to predict bottlenecks or slack periods.
- Organize and chair production meetings and issue meeting reports.
- Issue project schedules for shop and customer use.
- FOLLOW progress of jobs from opening to completion and take necessary action with Shop Operations Manager (overtime, shifts, outsourcing) to maintain schedule.
- Ensure Shop Operations Manager is aware of critical path items and delivery dates.
- Manage Purchasing and Expediter in order to meet the deliveries.
- Act as primary reference point for project managers ensuring continued flow of information regarding project status.
- Communicate with Resource Planning Manager regarding capacity constraints and availability.
- Manage inventory and project material requirements.
