We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a Hotel in Joplin, Missouri. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall upkeep of the hotel’s facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house operations. This role requires a hands-on professional with experience in general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
Conduct regular inspections of the hotel property and equipment to identify potential issues.
Perform preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Troubleshoot and repair hotel appliances, fixtures, and lighting.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage rooms.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed.
Work closely with hotel management and housekeeping staff to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for guests.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in hotel maintenance, property management, or a similar role preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
