Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled QAD Techno-Functional Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QAD (Quality Assurance and Development) ERP systems and will be proficient in both functional and technical testing. You will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, integration, and overall quality of the QAD application in accordance with the organization's business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Analyze and understand business requirements and translate them into test cases.
- Create detailed test plans and test scripts for functional and integration testing of QAD ERP modules.
- Perform functional testing, regression testing, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure QAD modules are working as expected.
- Execute and document test cases, track defects, and verify fixes.
- Participate in release management and testing for version upgrades and patches for QAD modules.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the business users, developers, and functional consultants to understand functional requirements and design the necessary test scenarios.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful testing during all phases of the project life cycle.
- Act as a liaison between functional and technical teams to resolve issues and enhance system performance.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects, ensuring issues are clearly understood and resolved efficiently.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress, risks, and issues.
- Technical Testing:
- Develop and execute scripts for automated testing (if applicable) for performance, load, and stress testing in a QAD environment.
- Verify system configurations and integration points (e.g., interfaces, EDI, etc.) to ensure seamless data flow between QAD and other systems.
- Ensure the QAD ERP system adheres to security and data integrity standards.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain test documentation, including test scripts, test cases, and test data.
- Produce clear, concise, and actionable reports on testing progress, outcomes, and quality metrics.
- Document issues and defects in a defect-tracking tool and ensure they are resolved before release.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in testing and supporting QAD ERP applications (specifically in modules like Financials, Manufacturing, Distribution, or Inventory).
- Hands-on experience with QAD functionality and the technical aspects of the system.
- Experience with functional testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Knowledge of testing tools and methodologies.
