Duties
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Utilize aseptic techniques for IV infusion preparation and other sterile compounding processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions regarding medications and health-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring medication supplies.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to uphold safety standards within the pharmacy department.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and IV infusion preparation is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in a hospital or critical care setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
