We have been retained by a top-tier global automotive manufacturing organization, headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, to recruit for their Total Rewards Leader position.
They are seeking a seasoned professional with industry expertise to revamp their compensation philosophy, bringing innovation while designing, implementing, and managing the company’s total rewards programs across North America.
- Strategic and Leadership Opportunity – North America
- Work closely with the Executive Leadership and report directly to the Head of HR for the region.
- Focus on developing executive compensation programs from the ground up.
- Must have strong business acumen and experience in heavy industry manufacturing, with large-scale, multi-site operations.
- Open to relocation.
This role encompasses all aspects of compensation, benefits, and related programs (e.g., wellness, relocation). A key focus will be on running compensation cycles for big hourly population along with salaried employees staying competitive in the market, while engaging employees , building executive compensation programs, including long-term incentive plans (LTIPs), while presenting to the comp committees and Board Members and executive leadership , ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage compensation, benefits, and executive incentive programs aligned with company objectives.
- Develop and maintain salary structures, bonus programs, and employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and industry standards while staying updated on trends.
- Leverage analytics to optimize rewards programs and measure their effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement and foster a pay-for-performance culture.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and leadership teams to align programs with broader business goals.
- Lead and develop a team of Total Rewards Associates, fostering growth and operational excellence.
For this role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 15 years in Total Rewards with proven expertise in executive compensation and LTIPs.
- 5 years in leadership roles with strong team development skills.
- Advanced data analysis capabilities and project management experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of compensation and benefits regulations.
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $220,000 - $250,000
- Bonus: Performance-based bonus
- Long-Term Incentives (LTIPs): Included
- Benefits: Comprehensive package
- Total Compensation (TC): $320,000 - $360,000
