Restaurant servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our customers have an exceptional dining experience. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guests’ needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Set up restaurant using checking list provided
Extensive menu knowledge and passing of menu test
Extensive bar knowledge and passing of bar test
Know tables and seat numbers-pass floor char test
Understand and follow steps of service as provided
Ability to use POS system without mistakes.
Guide guests through menu and help in making drink and dinner choices
How to properly bus and reset a table
Water service-offering different types of water
Biscuit service
Communicate 86’d items to all staff and keep board updated
Complete running side work during shift
Keep track of tickets times for your tables and alert kitchen/management for longer times
Clearing table as needed and reset for each course
Keep up with polishing during service
Run food when needed
Abide by firing system
All guests in the restaurant are your guests
Handle all guest requests
Close using checklist provided
Qualifications
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience as a Server, fine dining a plus
