Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
This role requires a motivated self-starter who can work independently and is willing and able to perform various tasks required in a fast-paced small company environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Industrial Designers: Vetting and validating design concepts
- Technical Leadership: Providing and receiving feedback to/from technical and non-technical collaborators
- Predictive Analysis: Verifying design functionality
- Design and Testing: Designing test procedures and fixtures, managing testing to verify performance and conformance with safety regulations
- Engineering Documentation: Creating documentation for manufacturing and maintenance of new designs
- Quality Assurance: Defining and managing the QA process for incoming products
- Vendor Interface: Interfacing with vendors and manufacturing partners
- Technical Support: Providing technical support for customer field issues
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, with 7-10 years of engineering experience
- Excellent technical knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes for bicycles or similar products/industries
- Strong collaborative mindset
- Motivated, self-managed, and reliable
- Excellent mechanical design and analysis skills
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in SOLIDWORKS and MS Office Apps
- Machining and fabrication experience, working with composite materials, is a plus
- Knowledge of electronics and sensors for testing and data acquisition is a plus
- Avid runner, cyclist, or fitness enthusiast is a plus
