Position Title : Certified Athletic Trainer
Reports to : Office Manager

Main function :
The Certified Athletic Trainer will be involved in our outreach program, and delivers physical care and evaluates patients on and off the field at the school's athletic events and practices, coordinates the access of healthcare for athletes at the locations, and designs / implements specific therapeutic programs for rehabilitation of injured athletes.
Athletic Trainer Duties :
- Evaluate patients on the field. Design / implement a plan of care based on patient functioning, diagnosis, treatment, self-management, and access to health care resources.
- Documents evaluations and plan of care via injury report.
- Delivers physical care to patients including monitoring of patient response and results during care.
- Instruct patients and / or family members in treatment, activities, and home care.
- Provide education to patients and family members, Sports groups regarding health maintenance, normal body functions, injury prevention, strength, and conditioning.
- Provide First aid whenever needed.
- Assist with the fitting of braces both off the shelf and custom-made.
- Communicate to players, coaches, and parents.
- Communicate with team physician / PA.
- Work with School Administration to establish safe Sports Medicine protocols and practices as needed.
- Assist with wound care / dressing changes.
- Other duties as assigned or are necessary to ensure the success of E&B.
