Position Overview: As a Certified Medical Assistant, you’ll be a key player in providing exceptional patient care and assisting our physicians in delivering top-notch orthopedic services. From managing patient flow to assisting with procedures, your role will be vital in ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Greet and assist patients in a professional, caring manner; manage patient flow; and help patients prepare for exams and procedures.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians with various procedures, cast/splint applications, wound dressing changes, and more.
- Patient Education: Provide valuable educational resources and clearly communicate physician instructions.
- Administrative Support: Schedule surgeries, MRIs, lab work, and other referrals; manage patient records; assist with prescription refills; and maintain infection control standards.
- Procedure Assistance: Help with EMG/NCV studies and sterile tray set-ups. Prepare injections, perform suture/staple removal, and more!
What We’re Looking For:
- A self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable team player.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Previous medical assisting experience (orthopedic experience a plus, but not required).
- Phlebotomy Certification is preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant required.
Competitive Salary: Salary is negotiable based on experience.
