Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. As a Concrete Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting in various tasks related to the pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris and setting up forms for concrete pouring.
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Operate various tools and machinery safely, including mixers, vibrators, and hand tools.
- Follow quality control measures to ensure the integrity of the concrete work.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other laborers to maintain an efficient workflow on the construction site.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in supervising tasks on-site to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Knowledge of construction estimating techniques for accurate material calculations.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes within concrete work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Competency in blueprint reading for effective execution of project plans.
- Familiarity with construction management principles is advantageous.
- Experience with Bluebeam or similar software for project documentation is a plus.
- Understanding of contract requirements related to construction projects is beneficial.
