Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various concrete-related tasks on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Operate construction management software, including HeavyBid and Bluebeam, to track project progress and materials.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for measuring electrical resistance in concrete applications.
- Supervise junior laborers and assist in training them on best practices for concrete work.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations on the construction site, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with contractors and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform site clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in concrete labor or related construction roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction estimating techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and construction management software.
- Ability to supervise others effectively and communicate clearly on-site.
- Knowledge of contracts related to construction projects is beneficial.
- Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.
