The Lead Security Officer at Ellis Park is responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests, team members, and property. They are also expected to handle issues such as altercations, theft, vandalism, fire, trespassing, and other illegal activities in a calm and collected manner.

Some details of what you will do :

Provide safety and security to Ellis Park guests, team members, and property.

Report and assist in medical emergency situations.

Check IDs and verify all guests entering the gaming floor are 21 or older.

Patrol the facility, backside, and parking lot on a routine scheduled basis.

Watch for and report all irregularities occurring during the shift. Prepare documentation concerning each incident and report to the appropriate personnel daily.

Escort Ellis Park guests and team members to their vehicles, as requested, to ensure their safety.

Escort all money transferred to and from the cage.

Respond to emergency situations.

What you need :

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Relevant work experience in security or related field.

Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming / racing license.

It’s the icing on the cake if you have :

Certification in : First Aid, CPR and / or AED.
