What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services Project Worker position at Ellis Medicine?
Requirements:
Minimum of 8th grade education. Six (6) months housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine preventative, restorative and corrective cleaning of the facility.
• Follow the seven-step cleaning process, terminal cleaning, waste and biohazard removal/handling, and working in maintaining sanitary conditions in public areas, resident areas and surgical rooms.
• Responsible for completing assigned projects on time and accurately.
• Accomplish the day’s tasks as set forth by the position, policies and procedures.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure standards of cleaning/sanitizing are being met, and complying with safe work practices.
• Manages the use and application of chemicals and products.
• Recommend corrective cleaning needs on a preventative basis.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste and biohazardous waste.
• Safely operate and keep work equipment in proper operating function so as to provide quality service.
• Follows lock out policies and procedures and reports equipment issues.
• Provide on the job training to new employees.
• Complete required training as assigned.
• Responds promptly to customer requests, provide excellent customer service and collaborates with other departments throughout the organization.
• Adhere to patient privacy policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $ 16.08-21.07 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
