An Ellis Park Security Officer is responsible for preparing and cooking all meals for Ellis Park patrons, delivering quality meals in a timely and consistent manner, accommodating special requests of guest, and ensuring that food safety and sanitation standards are maintained.

- Follow recipes and prepare food orders in a uniform and consistent manner.
- Maintain proper food rotation procedures (e.g. label and date product, properly store and rotate perishables and leftovers).
- Minimize food waste to achieve forecasted food costs.
- Perform general maintenance duties, including mopping floors, wiping countertops and cleaning food prep areas.
- Open and/or close kitchen as necessary.
- At least one year of relevant work experience in a restaurant or food capacity.
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two or more years’ experience in high volume food service operation/preparation.
