Pre-Bake Floater Operator

Purpose:

Pre-Bake Operator are primarily responsible for the production of the industrial baking machinery and support areas they are assigned to on a day-to-day basis; including mixers, ovens and pre-weigh ingredients

Hours:

• 2nd shift is 3:30pm to 12:00am
  
• Weekends may be required

Pay:

• 2nd shift starting pay is $20.00 per hour (increases to $21.50 per hour after signed off on Mixer) $2.00 per hour shift differential when moved to 3rd shift

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform day to day production operations when needed in either the oven area, mixing area and/or the pre-weigh area
• Pre-weighing and preparing of raw baking ingredients
• Combining dry and wet ingredients in industrial-sized mixers
• Ensure cookie product ingredients are mixed as recipe specifies
• Ensure cookie product quality conforms to quality standard though baking process
• Breaking down and installing rollers, dies, and other machinery parts
• Washing equipment and parts between production changeovers
• Maintain equipment and work area in a sanitary and working condition
• Assist Mixer Operators in getting required ingredients as needed
• Assist Oven Operators in change-overs as needed
• Assist other areas of production as needed
• Effectively communicate all relevant information to other production shifts and employees
• Other duties as assigned

Equipment Used:

• Safety Glasses
• Lockout/Tag out
• Uniforms, Safety Shoes for Wet Environment are provided
• Basic use of Hand Tools
• Cleaning Chemicals and Foaming Equipment
• Water Hose (Working in a wet environment)

Work Environment:

• Production area can vary in temperature either be cool or warm depending on the season and possibly humid in the summer months
• Concrete floors are slippery, especially when wet
• Intact senses of sight, with corrective lenses are necessary
• Hearing and vision are required in order to be certain that ingredients are mixed correctly and safely
