Sanitation Technician

Purpose:

The Sanitation Technician position is responsible for maintaining the facility following written Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s) for production to run product that meets all food safety requirements.

Hours:

• 3rd shift: 11:30pm to 8:00am
• Weekends and overtime may be required.

Pay:

• Starting pay up to $18 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) to make sure that all equipment and areas are cleaned on a regular basis
• Maintain the facility that is audit ready in a manner that meets all food safety requirements
• Clean production equipment following established SSOP’s
• Accurately and legibly maintain cleaning records
• Ensure that all utensils, equipment, and areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner
• Empty all trash and cardboard containers and dispose of properly
• Maintain the facilities outside grounds for cleanliness
• Effectively communicate all relevant information to other production shifts and employees
• Fire Extinguisher Inspections
• Pest Control Inspections
• Snow and ice removal on sidewalks (seasonal)

• Safety Glasses
• Lockout/Tag out
• Uniforms, Safety Shoes for Wet Environment are provided
• Basic use of Hand Tools
• Cleaning Chemicals and Foaming Equipment
• Water Hose (Working in a wet environment)
• Pressure Washer

Skills/Work Experience Needed:

• Possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Leadership Qualities / Works Independently / Self-Managed / Accountable and Responsible
• Communicate Effectively with Co-workers
• Read and Understand all Production Documents and SSOP’s in English
• Mechanically Inclined
• Knowledge of Windows Software (Excel, Word, etc)
• Knowledge of Kleanz Software preferred
• Forklift experience
• Boom and Scissor lift experience

Work Environment:

• The work environment and physical demands described below may be representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Production area can vary in temperature either be cool or warm depending on the season and possibly humid in the summer months
• Concrete floors are slippery, especially when wet
• Intact senses of sight, with corrective lenses are necessary
• Hearing and vision are required in order to be able to hear and read documents pertaining to the job.
