Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper/Office Manager to oversee our office operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our financial and administrative processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of financial concepts, including double entry bookkeeping and payroll management. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities
Bookkeeping:
- Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
- Update and maintain the general ledger
- Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
- Recording of debits and credits
- Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
- Process payroll and all related transactions and reports
- Prepare monthly statements for clients
- Process are invoices and payments
- Prepare documents for the annual tax return
- Prepare miscellaneous spreadsheets as needed to monitor financial matters
- Other duties:
- Assist attorney with insurance matters related to: Professional Liability, Worker’s Compensation, Business Policy and Health Insurance
- Assist attorney with employee benefits regarding Flex Spending account, Retirement and others as needed.
- Maintain employee personal files
- Enroll new employee in benefits and process tax forms
- Other miscellaneous clerical duties as needed
- Requirements:
- Experience as a Bookkeeper and/or Office Manager or similar role with a strong understanding of office management procedures.
- Proficiency in double entry bookkeeping, payroll management, and general accounting principles.
- Familiarity with financial software applications, particularly .
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare detailed financial reports.
- Organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
