The Director of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics shapes the strategic vision, execution, and continuous optimization of data-driven solutions designed to empower decision-making within healthcare organizations.
This role ensures that analytics initiatives align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals, driving actionable insights, measurable outcomes in operational efficiency, compliance, and patient care quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overarching strategy for data analytics and business intelligence initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
- Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions to support business needs and enhance decision-making processes.
- Work closely with executives, department leads, and cross-functional teams to identify analytics needs, prioritize initiatives, and deliver impactful insights.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of analytics strategies and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of analysts and data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to tailor content to client-specific challenges and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10 years) in business intelligence and data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute data strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and ETL (extract, transform, load) processes.
- Expertise in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python), database management systems, and data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Azure Synapse).
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare operations, standards, and regulatory environments, including HIPAA compliance and value-based care models.
- Broad knowledge of business processes and performance management to align data initiatives with organizational goals.
- Familiarity with emerging trends in data analytics, such as predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning applications.
