You will be the subject matter expert to analyze and manage project requirements, plans, and specifications to identify labor, material, equipment, and service needs. You will develop cost estimates for projects based on work scope, specifications, and contract proposals using applicable estimating methodologies and tools. Additionally, you will utilize your project management skills to oversee a sales opportunity from technical sales through the initial production process.

Additionally, you will utilize your project management skills to oversee a sales opportunity from technical sales through the initial production process.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with customers and company resources to recommend machinery and tools to use to manufacture products.
- Manages projects > $100k and sets project profit margin levels after project evaluation.
- Creates and documents procedures for quotes, BOM, and routing, and can train other team members.
- Reads blueprints, understands the quality requirements and the feasibility of the project, and creates red-line drawings for any requested changes.
- Uses benchmark data, trends, prior estimates, and historical pricing schedules to generate detailed cost estimates that consist of itemized lists of expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations.
- Designs and purchases production tooling, creates BOM to dictate the raw material purchases, and creates routing to set up the production processes.

Qualifications
- 5 years of experience with flexible materials required.
- 3 years of experience in estimating or quoting in the converting industry required.
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas
- AutoCAD knowledge is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and requirements.
- Strong basic math skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints required
- Ability to provide a high-level of customer service and serve in a customer-facing role.
