Overview
The Enrollment Specialist works with center staff to implement an enrollment process to ensure full occupancy of the center. Builds strong relationships with local agencies, schools, towns, businesses and families to minimize vacancies and maximize referrals; assists families with completion of appropriate forms and in determining tuition fees; refers families that are eligible for assistance to local social service agencies.
Duties
- Facilitate enrollment of children into the center in accordance with center guidelines and policy.
· Supports efforts to ensure programs maintain enrollment level
· Maintain confidentiality of family records.
· Maintain a waiting list of interested children in anticipation of vacancies.
· Build and maintain relationships with local resources to maximize referrals.
· Maintain contact with local social service agencies.
· Coordinate with the Assistant Director for marketing and community outreach efforts.
· Manage reporting as required by the Center Director.
· Follow all center policies and state regulations.
· Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
· Respond to inquiries from parents via phone, email and in-person meetings
· Conduct informational sessions and tours
· Open and close buildings as needed. Substitute in various positions as needed.
· Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- This position primarily operates in an office environment but may also involve visits to classrooms and outdoor areas. Flexibility for a hybrid work schedule may be considered.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and technology skills.
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision, with initiative and discretion.
- Documented prior experience in enrollment management, admissions, or customer service roles, preferably within an early learning environment.
- Knowledge of ECE principles, child development and licensing requirements.
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health and TB screening.
- Preferred: Associate’s Degree in early childhood, child development, social services or related field.
·Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with local agencies; working knowledge of qualifications for state and local aid.
