Schedule: PRN, Day Shift, 7am-4pm
or 8am-5pm, Wednesdays and Fridays
Salary:
Competitive PRN rates 15-20% higher than base rates
25% weekend differential
Duties & Responsibilities:
The role of the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is to be a champion of patient care. This role performs diagnostic medical ultrasound exams and provides clinical expertise to ensure quality imaging services while maintaining comfort and well-being of the patient. Specific duties include organizing patient care, prioritizing critical care first; completing ultrasound examinations utilizing medical sonography equipment within national guidelines; contributing and sustaining efficient operations; and promoting a philosophy ensuring quality and continuity of patient care.
Education/Experience:
Graduate from an AMA approved school of Diagnostic Sonography or registry eligible.
Must qualify for the ARDMS, CCI or ARRT registry. Must have either passed the registry or pass the registry at the next available test date given after employment.
Certifications/Registrations:
Staff may possess one or more of the following: Registry in Abdominal and/or Vascular and/or Obstetric and/or Small Parts and/or Breast and/or Echocardiology.
CPR Certification.
