As a Solutions Architect/Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the architecture and implementation of cutting-edge enterprise solutions for CBP. You will leverage your expertise in multi-cloud environments, APIs, and modern data platforms to design secure, scalable solutions that directly improve operational efficiency.
Additionally, you will oversee the Agile development of the CBP Translate application, which breaks down language barriers between CBP officers and travelers, supporting communication in over 100 languages.
In this role, you will lead a dynamic team using Agile methodologies, driving collaboration, and ensuring project milestones are achieved. You will also work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to ensure that solutions align with CBP’s needs and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with CBP’s strategic objectives.
- Architect secure and scalable solutions utilizing multi-cloud environments, APIs, and modern data platforms.
- Support the development and implementation of systems and applications, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and meet business requirements.
- Lead Agile development efforts for the CBP Translate application, ensuring smooth execution through Scrum ceremonies and milestones.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the development team, fostering collaboration and delivering continuous improvement.
- Present technical solutions to executives, IT management, and development teams with clarity and confidence.
- Actively participate in refining project requirements and defining the roadmap for system enhancements and upgrades.
- Work closely with CBP stakeholders to ensure that all solutions meet operational needs and contribute to the department's mission.
- Manage the CBP Translate application’s technical stack, including frameworks such as Angular, Spring Boot, Flutter, and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with development teams using languages such as Dart, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift, Groovy, SQL, and HTML/CSS.
- Ensure successful integration and optimal performance of the application across mobile and web platforms.
- 5 years of experience as a Solutions Architect/Technical Lead in a federal client environment.
- Extensive experience in architecting secure solutions for multi-cloud environments, APIs, and data platforms.
- Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, with experience leading Scrum ceremonies (Scrum Master experience is highly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, executives, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure enterprise-level solutions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CBP security clearance (active clearance is preferred).
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
- Experience with the following technology stacks:
- Frameworks/Software Stacks: Angular, Spring Boot, Flutter, Kubernetes
- Languages: Dart, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift, Groovy, SQL, HTML/CSS
- Tools: Firebase, Gradle
