Job Description
Elluminates Software Corporation is looking for a full-time Senior VMware Architect. This position is in support of the Department of State (DOS) as a part of the Vanguard 2.2.1 contract. The Vanguard 2.2.1 program provides transparent, interconnected systems and security support for the Department of State (DOS) DT program. The DT program enables the Department of State to successfully carry out its foreign policy mission by providing enterprise architecture design, engineering, operations and maintenance support services for data center services, desktop computers, servers, networks, firewalls, voice and data communications and other unique enterprise applications.The candidate will be responsible for the development of Virtualization solutions utilizing VMWare and Storage technologies. The candidate will research, analyze, evaluate and integrate as necessary new and emerging technologies in order to find
ways to deliver a superior IT environment to the bureaus in a cost effective and secure manner. The candidate will support the continuing goal of incorporating these innovative technologies into the Department’s equipment modernization program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, integrate, and deploy VMWare IT solutions for mission critical enclave solutions.
- Execute the duties and responsibilities as a member of the DoS PKI Infrastructure team
- Provide design of engineering design and build to well architected solutions that the O&M team can leverage for enterprise-level solutions using virtual server hosting, and NetApp storage.
- Diagrams and update system and process documentation and user guides as needed diagrams and SOPs as needed.
Required Qualifications
- VMware Experience
- Senior-level knowledge of VMWare and vSphere design, integration, and deployment.
- Knowledge or Training on VMware and ESX 7.0 deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience configuring VMware NSX
- Windows engineer or administrator experience (Active Directory, GPOs, and PowerShell scripting)
- Experience leading system integration projects as the technical lead.
- Experience working with customers to capture/document requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- NetApp storage knowledge or other storage technologies
- LAN/WAN networking experience.
- DOS processes.
Years of Experience and Education Requirements
- BS and 10 years of related experience; Masters and 7 years; Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
