Objective:
Under general supervision, provides excellent customer service while monitoring and managing cashiers. Maintaining additional front-end duties such as customer inquiries, returns, and answering phone calls. Essential Functions:
- Greet customers, and offer friendly helpful service
- Handle customer complaints and inquires
- Process returns and exchanges
- Run POS systems (cash register)
- Train new cashiers on registers and store policies; review training manual, answer questions
- Provide change for cashiers as needed
- Maintain shopper and register supplies at checkout stands and stations
- Maintain cashier break chart
- Monitor phone lines and promptly notify store management via email of callouts or other personnel messages
- Check out customer purchases promptly and accurately, using correct prices, and department PLU codes
- Follow security procedures with customers regarding cash handling, etc.
- Become familiar with store policies and products to help answer customer questions
- Perform miscellaneous jobrelated duties/Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:
The employee must have the ability to: speak and hear, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with their hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods where wet and dry processes are used, wear protective footwear, wear personal protective equipment, and work in extreme temperatures. The employee must have the ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position; days, nights and weekends are required
Education and Experience:
High school diploma, or equivalent training and experience – required
Minimum of one-year customer service experience - required
Minimum of one-year supervising experience - preferred
Familiarity with natural food/products - preferred
