What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics and Automation Supervisor position at ELLWOOD?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for all plant electrical systems including but not limited to; programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, plant instrumentation, & communication systems
- Develops and implements schedules for inspections, upgrades, calibrations and system maintenance
- Analyzes all electrical systems and support and effectively recommends improvements or changes to insure efficiency, dependability and currency
- Performs PLC programming changes and modifications
- Manages timesheets, schedules, PTO, and performance reviews of ET’s
- Broad understanding of IT Infrastructure, networking and IP structures
- Updates equipment documentation and controls distribution of prints and other documents needed for troubleshooting and repair of critical plant equipment.
- Ensures that all statutory codes, national and local, are applied or followed and continually analyzes code requirements and updates equipment and procedures to ensure compliance
- Implement PLC and/or HMI programming changes as necessary to ensure optimization of equipment
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
- Adheres to housekeeping and safety standards, including the required use of personal protective equipment
- Able to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work
- Bend, stand, for extended periods of time and withstand exposure to heat and cold temperature
- Must be able to perform work at heights
- Must be able to pass physical requirements
- Ability to lift 30 – 60 pounds
- Associates degree, trade school or equivalent 3-5 in electrical/electronic maintenance in manufacturing setting work experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ maintenance experience in manufacturing setting
- Thorough Knowledge with Lock Out/ Tag Out
- 3-5 years of high voltage experience up to 34.5KV (preferred) 480V Mandatory
- PLC experience (Rockwell Preferred)
- Logic Control Level experience with Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, Drives etc. including Software
- Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, properties of materials and principles
- Ability to work safe
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good math skills
- Have the ability and desire to work with others
