About The Internship
This position will work closely with our Sales, Purchasing and Accounting Departments to complete project-based assignments, provide support to the Sales, Purchasing and Accounting Departments, including administrative support, and other assistance, where needed. This position reports directly to the Director - Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Candidate should be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a business-related major.
EXPERIENCE: Must have completed at least freshman year.
PREREQUISITES: Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Proficiency using Microsoft Office products and other relevant tools; Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping; Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
SCHEDULE: Typically, Monday-Friday, 8a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 1-hour unpaid lunch.

- Assist the Sales Team with maintain customer accounts, order entries and other tasks as needed.
- Assist the Purchasing Department in the procurement process by creating purchase orders, obtaining price quotes and following up on delivery status and other tasks as needed.
- Assist the Accounting Department in documentation and other tasks as needed.
- Assist other departments with general administrative tasks as needed, including but not limited to, answering and directing phone calls, coordinate and schedule meetings, filing, mailings, etc.
- Ability to drive locally.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle situations with discretion.
- Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules.
- Must have ability and desire to work well with others.
- Meets attendance requirements.
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
