Restaurant Host

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest relations.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive and provide them with menus.
• Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover.
• Handle reservations and maintain an organized waiting list.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest needs.
• Assist guests with any inquiries or requests to enhance their dining experience.
• Utilize POS or similar systems for managing guest information and orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Provide support during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly is a plus.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
