Job Description:
At Legacy Brain and Spine by ELM, we are seeking a skilled ASC Administrator to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The ASC Administrator will oversee the daily operations of our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role involves collaborating closely with the Medical Director, Governing Body, Executive Director of Operations, and ASC Clinical Director to set facility goals and objectives, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of ASC regulations and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the ASC, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and accreditation standards
- Manages purchase orders issued to vendors
- Reviews claims related to accounts receivable
- Demonstrates expertise in fee schedules, charges, contractual adjustments, and collections
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
- Provide leadership and guidance to ASC staff to promote a positive work environment
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an ASC Administrator or in a similar healthcare management role
- Strong time management skills and extensive experience with EClinical Works are essential
- A thorough understanding of medical terminology and commercial insurance plans is also necessary
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- An Associate’s Degree in Medical Office Administration
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in a surgery center environment is required
- Certification in Healthcare Administration is a plus
