Job Overview
We are seeking an organized and experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while facilitating the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
- Handle incoming phone calls, providing information about services and addressing client inquiries.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Creates employee schedules that align with the needs of the hospital.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients.
- Stay informed about veterinary terminology, procedures, and services to effectively communicate with clients.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient care and client satisfaction.
- Oversees the daily operation of the front office and delegate duties to each employee to ensure daily tasks are accomplished.
- Trains, supervises, assists the receptionists in their performance of a variety of service functions that facilitate the work of the Technicians, Receptionists, Veterinarians, and Practice Manager who directly or indirectly provide patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is required
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and husbandry practices is advantageous.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to animal care is a plus.
- Proficiency in handling dogs and other animals safely and compassionately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
