Purpose
The purpose of the Concierge is to provide clerical support to the Skilled Nursing Facility Staff, to greet and make to feel welcomed to Elm Terrace Gardens telephone callers, visitors and residents, and to represent Elm Terrace Gardens in a friendly and courteous manner. The image of Elm Terrace Gardens is presented as a caring, friendly community.
Shift available is Every other weekend 8:00am-4:30pm
Essential Job Functions – Duties
1 Greet, help, and direct telephone callers, vendors, and residents.
2 Screen visitors at locked doors making sure they are safe to enter the building. Using I-pad to view cameras when not at desk. Asking visitors to sign in upon entering the building at entrances.
3 Prepare daily reports and email to management team upon completion of shift.
4 Handle confidential matters and administrative matters as directed.
5 Present a warm and friendly image in a courteous and friendly manner at all times.
6 Prepare written correspondence as directed.
7 Generally try to be helpful to all.
8 Promote favorable relations with residents, visitors, and all employees.
9 Maintain confidentiality of information.
10 Present positive endorsement of Elm Terrace Gardens, its mission, programs, policies,
procedures, and administration to Elm Terrace Gardens residents, staff, visitors, and other
constituencies at all times.
11 Greet visitors and family members and provide non-confidential information requested.
12 Report for work as scheduled.
13 Escort people, if necessary, to resident rooms and other areas.
14 Other duties as assigned.
15 Assist with resident transport to and from activities.
16 Be respectful of and courteous to other employees.
Requirements:Qualifications
- 1 Must be at least eighteen (18 ) years of age, completed high school or obtained the equivalent of a high school education and have at least two years experience, preferably in a health-care
- 2 Must be sufficiently verbal to communicate effectively with telephone callers, visitors, residents and other staff members.
- 3 Must possess the full range of secretarial skills including organization. Skills should include writing
- correspondence, filing, taking and delivering telephone messages, etc.
- 4 Must have the ability to operate standard office machines and equipment including a personal computer, telephone system, copy machine, calculator and fax machine.
- 5 Must possess the ability to speak to and be understood by residents and staff, and demonstrate the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions; and
- 6 Must have the ability to work well with people including staff, residents, families and community; communicate the services of the facility to the community; be personable and friendly and work independently.
- 7 Must possess an agreeable and helpful attitude toward senior adults.
